Privacy Statement
Portal Builders respects the privacy of visitors to the website and ensures that the (personal) information you provide to us is treated confidentially. Processing of the (personal) data is carried out in a manner that complies with the requirements set by law.
Purposes of data processing
Your personal data is processed by us for entering into and performing agreements for (digital) marketing and analytics services and for managing the resulting relationships, including carrying out activities aimed at expanding our customer base. To process the data entered via the forms, we use Zoho, the marketing automation tool for our customer base (Zoho CRM). Data requested via forms on our website is needed for the reasons stated above. If the personal data is not provided, we cannot contact you or, in the case of a newsletter subscription, inform you about our services and activities. If you complete a contact, quotation, job application or newsletter subscription form on the website, or send us an email, the data you send us is retained for as long as is necessary, given the nature of the form or the content of your email, to fully answer and handle it. Click behaviour and visit data
General visit data is kept on the website. In this context, among other things, the IP address of your computer, any username, the time of the request and data sent by a visitor’s browser are recorded and used for statistical analysis of visit and click behaviour on the website. We also use this to optimise how the website works. We try to anonymise this data as much as possible. We have also configured Google Analytics in a privacy-friendly manner.
We would like to explicitly point out that this data can never be traced back by Portal Builders to you as a person or individual, except in situations where you identify yourself as a person via one of the forms on the website. This can be done, for example, by leaving an email address when you subscribe to the newsletter. In such cases, your visit behaviour can be linked to the data you entered.
The data collected by Portal Builders is not provided to third parties.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to track how users use the website and how effective our AdWords advertisements on Google search result pages are. The information obtained in this way, including the address of your computer (IP address), is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Read Google’s privacy policy for more information, as well as the specific privacy policy of Google Analytics. For information on how Google complies with the GDPR, Google has specific pages: Google Cloud and the GDPR and what Google does in the area of data protection.
Google uses this information to track how our website is used, to provide us with reports about the website, and to offer Portal Builders as an advertiser information about the effectiveness of our campaigns. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or insofar as these third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. We have no influence over this.
LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram
This site includes buttons to promote or share pages on social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. These buttons are implemented by code supplied by Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram themselves. Among other things, this code places a cookie (see above). Read the privacy statement of Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram (which may change regularly) to see what they do with the personal data they process through this code.
Newsletter
We offer a newsletter with which we want to inform interested parties about news in the field of digital marketing & analytics, our services and related matters. Your email address is only added to the list of subscribers with your explicit consent. Every newsletter contains a link with which you can unsubscribe. The subscriber file of the newsletter is not provided to third parties.
Profiling
Based on behaviour on the website, profiles are created using marketing lists, so that we can show visitors relevant advertisements on other sites based on marketing cookies. This means that, as a visitor, you are shown relevant advertisements, since these match the behaviour you previously showed on the website. With this, we hope to be able to inform you even better about our services and articles. This data cannot be traced back to a specific person.
Processor agreement
We have signed a processor agreement with all companies that process data on our behalf. Among other things, this sets out what the personal data may be processed for and which security measures must be taken where the personal data is stored. It also states that whoever processes the data must treat it confidentially and may not process it on their own initiative for a purpose entirely different from that stated in the processor agreement.
Use of cookies
In offering electronic services and the information on this website, we use cookies. A cookie is a simple small file that is sent with pages of this website and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer. We use cookies to remember your settings and preferences. You can disable these cookies via your browser. For instructions, see the Help section of your browser.
Various cookies from the American company Google are placed via our website, as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to track and obtain reports on how visitors use the website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. We have no influence over this.
Cookies are also placed for the purpose of testing how different variants of web pages work and for recognising existing relationships of Portal Builders on the website, such as existing or prospective clients and newsletter subscribers.
With the Cookiebot tool, cookies that require consent are blocked. In this cookie bar, you can directly tick which type of cookies may be placed. Would you like to know exactly which cookies we use? The overview below gives you insight into which cookies are placed by which tooling and for what purpose.
This website uses cookies. We use analytical cookies to analyse our website traffic anonymously, so that we can adjust functionality and effectiveness. After consent, we also use cookies to personalise content and advertisements and to offer social media integration on our website for sharing our content. We share information about your use of our site with our partners for social media, advertising and analysis. These partners may combine this data with other information you have provided to them or that they have collected based on your use of their services. If you want to adjust which cookies and scripts we may use, you can change this. You can read more information in our cookie policy.
Excluding data collection
If you do not want your anonymised visit behaviour to be recorded, you can ensure that “Google Analytics” does not record any data in cookies.
